Censoro — Privacy Policy
Censoro is a photo editing app for Android published by an individual developer ("we"). It has no accounts, no servers of its own, and no analytics. This policy explains what the app and the third-party SDKs inside it do with data.
Photos
The app opens an image only through the Android photo picker, which hands over the single image
you choose. The image is loaded into memory, edited on the device, and either saved to your
gallery (Pictures/Censoro) or passed to the Android share sheet when you ask for it.
The original file is never modified. Photos are never uploaded anywhere and are not retained by
the app after the editing session ends.
Advertising
The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob. To serve, measure and protect ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects and shares with Google:
- the device's IP address, which Google may use to estimate the device's general location;
- device identifiers: the Android advertising ID and the app set ID, and other identifiers related to accounts signed in on the device, where applicable;
- interactions with the app and with ads, such as app launches, taps and ad views;
- diagnostics about the app and the SDK, such as launch time, hang rate and energy usage.
The purposes are advertising, analytics and fraud prevention, as described in Google's Partner Sites policy and Google Play data disclosure for the Mobile Ads SDK. The SDK encrypts this data in transit with TLS. We do not receive your advertising identifier ourselves and do not build profiles.
Where the law requires it (EEA, UK, Switzerland), the app asks for consent through Google's User Messaging Platform before any ad request is made, and the "Privacy options" entry inside the app reopens that form so consent can be changed or withdrawn at any time. If consent is refused, no ads are requested.
Purchases
The optional one-time "remove ads" purchase is processed by Google Play Billing. Payment details never reach the app: Google Play handles the transaction, and the app only stores a local flag that ads are off. Refunds follow Google Play's policy.
What the app stores on the device
- counters used to decide when an ad may be shown (number of saves and launches, timestamps of the last ads), and the local "ads removed" flag;
- no photos, no history, no identifiers of our own.
The app data is removed when you uninstall the app. Android backup and device transfer are disabled for this app.
Permissions
The app requests no runtime permissions. It reaches only the image you pick in the system picker and writes into the gallery through Android's MediaStore.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them. Ads are requested without child-directed treatment.
Your choices
- Ads personalisation: the consent form (EEA/UK/CH) or Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
- Remove all ads permanently with the one-time purchase.
- Delete local data by uninstalling the app.
Changes
If the app starts using a new SDK or collects something new, this policy is updated here and the effective date above changes.
